Fashion Management and Marketing BA (Hons)

Three years full-time


An award-winning course designed to enhance commercial insight into the world of Fashion Management and Marketing. Our graduates go on to have careers in fashion buying, fashion merchandising, visual merchandising, retail or brand management, brand strategy, product development, advertising, marketing and PR as well as e-commerce. If you are looking for a career in fashion but don’t want to be a fashion designer this could be the course for you.

In Stage 1, you will learn about the fashion market place, fashion buying and merchandising as well as fashion branding and promotion.

In Stage 2, you will study fashion forecasting and sustainable futures, experiential and multi-channel retailing, personal branding as well as undergo a 10-week work placement designed to increase your industry knowledge and maximise your employability.

Stage 3 is focused on researching the macro and micro-marketing environment, to identify a fashion-related gap in the market. You will then apply research methodologies to create a new brand or brand extension informed by emerging developments in the fashion industry that support your career aspirations.

In addition, students have the opportunity to work with expert tutors developing skills in creative digital graphics, personal branding, how to make a professional presentation, interviewing techniques and CV writing, all designed to enhance employability. During your studies, you will be tutored by practising professionals who will help you choose your eventual career path and develop key contacts within the industry. Facilities IT suites uploaded with the latest industry- standard software with access to professional fashion and consumer forecasting sites.

Career Opportunities Fashion Management and Marketing graduates are employed at a range of leading fashion brands and agencies including ASOS, Topshop, Whistles, Burberry, Selfridges, Harrods, Fenwick, Hugo Boss, Reiss, Levi’s, Ted Baker, Superdry, Office, M&S, BDA London and Urban Outfitters.
